2. PREPARE DIGITAL FILES FOR ONLINE CHINA VISA APPLICATION

• Passport data page – A photo of the passport page that contains your personal information and photo.
• Blank visa pages – A photo showing two blank visa pages inside your passport.
• Proof of residence – A photo of your driver’s license or a utility bill.
• Previous Chinese visa and the data page of your previous passport (if applicable).

• REQUIREMENTS FOR MINORS:
  Copy of Birth Certificate
  A copy of passport from both parents

• FOR NON-US CITIZEN, provide legal status in the US.

3. ONLINE VISA APPLICATION FORM

• Before beginning your application, make sure you have prepared all required digital files (see item No. 2 above).

• If you are applying with our or 6–8 day expedited service, please [click here] to complete the China visa application. Regardless of your location, make sure to select North America, then Washington, DC, then create an online account, complete the visa application form, and upload the required documents. When filling out the form, do not click the “Submit” button at the end.

• If you are applying with our 10-day, 15-day or 20-day service, you must first create an online account, complete the visa application form, and upload the required documents. Each account may include multiple applicants. Please note that you must provide our agent with your account login information (email and password) so we can review and process all applications under your account.

A copy of the applicant’s driver’s license or state issued ID.

​5. PREVIOUS CHINESE VISA:

If you have been granted a China visa in the past, you must provide a copy of the most recent issued China visa . If the visa is not located in your current passport, you must submit a copy of the passport containing the previous China visa.

6. Former PRC Nationals or Individuals Born in Chinese Territories

If you are a former PRC passport holder or were born in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, or Macau:

• You must write your name in Chinese characters on the visa application form
• You must provide a copy of your most recent China visa and a copy of the passport in which the visa was issued
• If you have never been issued a China visa you must submit your original China passport and a copy of your Green Card, and a copy of your Naturalization Certificate
• If you were adopted from China you must also include a copy of your adoption papers showing adoptive parents names, name change, and photo with parents (do not include the original papers). If applicable, include a copy of your naturalization certificate and U.S. birth certificate.

3. LETTER OF INVITATION
A business invitation letter from the sponsoring company in China. The letter should be printed on company letterhead stationery, addressed to “The Consulate of China, Visa Section”, and signed by a senior manager and stamped with the company seal. The business letter must include the following information:

• Personal information of the applicant: name, gender, date of birth, passport details, and job title.
• State the nature of the business to be conducted (i.e. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.), the dates of the visit, and the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in China.​
